Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, crowd-creation can look back on 2020 as the most successful year in the company's history to date. The services of the IT service provider specializing in community solutions were in greater demand than ever before. For 2021, the company is planning further innovations to continue offering powerful solutions for the increased demands of team communication.

From crisis to opportunity - decentralized collaboration as the new standard

While remote work used to be a fairly minor phenomenon in many companies, the various protective measures taken to combat the COVID-19 pandemic acted as a catalyst for remote collaboration. Social distancing and home office thus shaped a new standard of decentralized collaboration in many companies around the world. Thanks to its many years of expertise in the installation and administration of specialized community solutions, crowd-creation was able to provide its customers with fast and efficient support for the necessary installation of efficient remote work solutions and open up new opportunities for optimized team communication last year.

Community launch under constantly changing conditions

Increased customer demand for the services of crowd-creation GmbH in the last year made evident the increased demand for internal communication solutions. The company launched a total of six large communities in 2020, including the communication platform "Impulse Circle," which is jointly used by Mini and BMW.
Community projects in four languages (German, English, French, and Spanish) were proof of the increasingly international orientation of the IT experts from Hesse. Launching the communities under permanently changing conditions was particularly challenging, but thanks to the flexible combination of the free content management systems Drupal and Open Social, a SocialBox also based on Drupal, this challenge was successfully overcome.

New features for 2021: video interfaces and optimized survey functions

Many companies will continue the shift to remote working that became necessary in 2020, even if working conditions are likely to return to more normal levels in the new year. Ulrich Neiss, CEO of crowd-creation GmbH, also expects demand for community solutions to remain high, but he also emphasizes the need for better integration of individual communication channels with the help of a central community platform: "It is much more effective to connect employees, partners, or customers in a community platform instead of using many different channels that all have to be maintained separately."
To improve the usability of the community platforms, crowd-creation plans to implement an API interface in the new year to simplify the integration of video chat and meeting functions.
Another focus of development is the integration and optimization of various survey tools. Qualtrics and LimeSurvery were already integrated in 2020, and further optimizations are to follow in cooperation with KANTAR in 2021. crowd-creation thus believes it is well equipped to continue supporting customers in the new year with powerful community solutions for the diverse and changing requirements.
