Crowd-creation GmbH has implemented all community projects as well as its own Community Box with Drupal Commons over the past 7 years.
The distribution Drupal Commons was introduced at the end of 2010 based on Drupal 6 and has been continuously developed in the following years. In 2013, version 3 of Drupal Commons brought with it a changeover to Drupal 7.
We have supported the further development and improvement of Drupal Commons from the very beginning.
The current version Drupal 8 introduces its new community solution Open Social, which follows in the footsteps of Drupal Commons.
Crowd-creation GmbH will lend its full support to Open Social and offer you Open Social solutions from August 2017 onward.
The Community Box will still be available as an entry-level solution or as a special solution for market research communities.
New projects will preferably—and according to your requirements—be implemented with Open Social.
With Drupal 8, for the first time in Drupal's history, major version updates have been discontinued. In other words, the road from Drupal 8 to Drupal 9 will be a continuous process based on regular updates rather than a changeover based on reprogramming and migrations from one version to another, as before.
Hence Open Social solutions are a good investment towards future.
